RABO CLUB SUPPORT
Rabo ClubSupport gives associations and clubs a helping hand. Members of the bank can vote once a year for their favorite club and the more votes, the more money the club receives. Even a natural talent like Niels had to learn tennis somewhere. In his case, it was TV Carolus in Helmond. In order to keep clubs like Carolus vital and to give more people the opportunity to play sports, Niels proudly connects his name to Rabo ClubSupport.
RONALD MC DONALD VACATION HOMES
In the vacation homes of the Ronald McDonald Children's Fund, families with a child in need of intensive care find a place to unwind, close to each other. As a top athlete, Niels knows better than anyone how important relaxation is, because the bow - and the racket - cannot always be tight. Such a relaxed vacation feeling is something Niels wishes for everyone. Especially families with a child who needs more care. For anyone in a similar situation, it is of immeasurable importance. Niels' parents are experts by experience; when Niels was one, they stayed for three months in Ronald McDonald Huis Utrecht. Partly because of this, Niels takes his ambassadorship of this wonderful organization for granted!
ESTHER VERGEER FOUNDATION
Niels met Esther at his first Paralympics in Tokyo. When Niels won a medal, Esther sat in the stands. Soon it turned out to click well between the two. They understand each other well and know what it is like to play top sports despite a physical disability. When the subject of 'ambassadorship' came up, Niels did not have to think for long. The Esther Vergeer Foundation works hard to ensure that children with disabilities can play sports at an ordinary club.
